Kevin J. Pentz, CFP®

Senior Wealth Advisor

kevin@galeim.com

Kevin is a Washington State native and graduated from Central Kitsap High School. He has always had a passion for helping people and a knack for finance and investing. Growing up in a family that owned a small business in Bremerton, Kevin was exposed from a young age to the work ethic and discipline it took to build wealth from the ground up. He paid his way through college by working as a commercial fisherman in Bristol Bay, Alaska, for seven consecutive summers beginning at age 14. Although he has always had a strong drive and work ethic, he is most passionate about helping people. Throughout college and the years following, he spent his time working in a full-time nonprofit position where he worked with youth and young adults of both Whatcom and Kitsap counties. Through this nonprofit work, he developed one of his deepest guiding philosophies; the idea that the most important things in life are "caught not taught." That is why he is so passionate about guiding his clients to help them strategize, develop, and implement plans to accomplish their financial goals.

After high school, Kevin went on as a student-athlete in track and field to earn an undergraduate degree in finance from Western Washington University. Shortly after that, he went on to earn his FINRA Series 7 - General Securities Representative License and his Series 66 - Uniform Combined State Law Examination. These qualify him to work as an Investment Advisor Representative in fee-based relationships. Additionally, Kevin earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, enabling him to provide an even more robust level of knowledge and service to his clients.

In 1996, while sitting in a seventh-grade social studies class at Central Kitsap Junior High School, Kevin met the girl who would eventually become his wife. The high-school sweethearts were married in 2004 and have three children. His wife, Kara, and his kids—Zack, Hallie, and Jovie—light up his days and are his favorite adventurers.

In his free time, you can find Kevin out on the slopes in the winter, or ripping around Kitsap Lake and wake surfing in the summer. He is an avid reader and enjoys every type of literature ranging from leadership to business, to historical biographies, to multiple fiction and nonfiction genres.
